Great rope made from recycled material

The rope is great. I used it in the tackle on the backstay tensioner and it not only looks great, but also feels very good. It holds reliably in the curry cleat and I can recommend it without reservation We should all use more recycled rope to make our sport a little greener.

Runs very smoothly on sheaves, even with smaller sheave diameters
Intermediate sheath made of staple fibres

Environmentally friendly ReBoB from Gleistein is made from 100% recycled PET bottles and makes the perfect mooring rope. With excellent handling properties, the UV resistant mooring rope is durable, with low water absorption. Made of high-quality fibres that are extremely flexible and abrasion resistant. Cover and core are made from recycled polyester.

NEW GLEISTEIN PRODUCTS FOR BETTER SUSTAINABILITY

Bio-based Dyneema® fibres are completely bio-based, whereby the entire production process is sustainably managed and fibres are produced under organic conditions. The petroleum component naphtha is replaced by organic naphtha derived from sustainably managed, certified forests, in a strictly controlled mass balancing procedure. Despite this switch in production, quality and perfomance remains unchanged.
rPET is polyester, 100% of which is obtained from recycled PET bottles, which are remelted and granulated to become the raw material for newly spun fibres. This method of production ensures high purity for consistent quality in addition to excellent properties such as high strength, resilience, abrasion resistance, and durability.

SUSTAINABLE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Gleistein is committed to 4 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, for increased sustainability in rope production! The new ReBoB and ReLite products, which are unique in the water sports industry, are the result. Gleistein is committed to bio-based, recycled raw materials, CO²-neutral production and is doing its part to actively care for the environment with this rope series – without any compromise on quality and performance.

Cleaning ropes:
Please note the following when cleaning/washing polyester and Dyneema ropes:

Hand wash (SVB recommendation):
- Place the rope in a large bucket or bathtub and fill with warm water.
- Clean the rope thoroughly with your hands.
- Do not use regular washing powder (you can find a possible alternative here).
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Then wash the rope with clean water.
Washing machine:
- Only wash rope in a cotton bag.
- Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees.
- Do not use regular washing powder (you can find a possible alternative here).
- Do not use fabric softener.
Do not tumble dry the rope.
- After washing, allow the ropes to drip dry (protected from UV radiation).

Great rope made from recycled material

The rope is great. I used it in the tackle on the backstay tensioner and it not only looks great, but also feels very good.
It holds reliably in the curry cleat and I can recommend it without reservation
