The
Harken Zircon Triple Block with bow and becket is a highly versatile and robust triple block from the popular Zircon series. This classic configuration is well known among sailors as a reliable and straightforward piece of deck hardware.
With three sheaves arranged side by side, the block offers maximum flexibility for guiding multiple lines at the same time. Free-running ball bearings ensure smooth, low-friction operation and efficient power transfer—even under load.
Built for durability and all-round use, this triple block is ideal for complex trimming applications such as sheets, halyards, runners, or other control lines on dinghies, sport boats, and yachts.
Characteristics:
- Triple block from the Harken Zircon series – classic bow and becket configuration
- Three sheaves for flexible and efficient line guidance
- Low-friction ball bearings for smooth running
- Robust and durable construction
- Ideal for sheets, halyards, and multiple control lines
Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
