Recovering a person who has gone overboard can be an extremely dangerous situation for both the crew and the casualty. The JONBUOY rescue system is designed to help in dangerous situations by increasing visibility and drawing attention to the MOB accident site. This results in a decisive time advantage thanks to shorter rescue times. The combination of danbuoy and horseshoe replaces traditional danbuoy systems and is equipped with additional lights and a whistle. Complies with ISAF offshore regulations.
Ideal safety equipment
The long danbuoy features a high visibility flag and weighted keel for stability even in swell. An automatic distress light, highly reflective high-vis fabric and retro-reflective strips allow you to be seen even in the dark and in bad weather. Both rescue devices are equipped with a hydrostatic release mechanism and are compactly stored in a carbon-look case.
Mounting and application
The casing is small and easy to fit virtually anywhere. Should an MOB situation occur, the device is simply removed from the bracket and thrown into the water. The danbuoy in the housing is triggered by the ripcord when it is removed from the holder and thrown into the water. Make sure that the container is placed in an easily accessible, handy position. The horseshoe is triggered automatically on contact with the water. In the water, the Horseshoe and the Danbuoy are connected with a 2 metre long line.
Reusable
After use, the rescue equipment can be placed back into the housing, ready for reuse after servicing. Servicing must be done once a year to ensure that the safety equipment is ready for use in an emergency.
