RONSTAN Orbit ratchet single blocks.
The RONSTAN Orbit Blocks are particularly lightweight in relation to their workload. For fixation these blocks have rope loops of Dyneema ® SK75 – a lightweight and very flexible method to attach blocks. The loop is held by a clip on the block. Even when opened, it remains firmly connected to the block on one side. A unique asymmetric bearing system reduces the tread on the active area of ​​the washer. Thus, the friction is reduced to a minimum.



Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

  • Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
  • For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
  • Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
  • Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
  • Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
  • Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
