SEPAR - SWK 2000/5 - Single Filter

Eine sehr gute Filteranlage. Zum Filterwechsel Diesel, Schmutz und Wasser über den Ablaßhahn in ein Gefäss ablaufen lassen, Filterdeckel öffnen und den verschmutzten Filter wechseln. Dies alles geht im Gegensatz zu anderen Filtersystemen ohne große Sauerei von verschüttetem Diesel ab. Unbedingt gleich mitzubestellen sollte man die Anschlussverschraubungen, denn diese haben ein Metrisches Gewinde von M16 x 1,5 mm. Noch ein Tip: In die Dieselleitung zwischen Tank und Filter einen Pumpball einbauen,dann läßt sich die Filteranlage schnell wieder mit Diesel füllen .

Product details

The Separ SWK 2000 is a water separator and filter for light diesel fuel. The multiple centrifugal system provides a 100% solution for water and dirt problems. The filters are GL, Lloyds, RINA, TUV, etc. approved and available with different flow rates. This device is characterized by an extremely high separation efficiency of water. According to TÜV testing, no water is detectable in the fuel. Due to the backflushing process, the service life of the filter is extended. The filters are available as single filters or as pre-assembled, reversible double filters. Installation of each filter (single or double) requires 2 hose connectors and 2 bolts (sold separately).

Note: Only install the filter in the intake line between the tank and the pump.

A different league compared to the CAV filter

Finally, no more struggling with the maintenance of the old CAV filter system. On our Bavaria 37 (2000), the 8mm hose nipple fit perfectly into the diesel lines. Together with the compression fitting, installation was straightforward. To fill (bleed) the system, I used a syringe with a 5mm diesel hose from the diesel heater clamped to the end. I drew in clean diesel and then introduced it through the vent. Finally, I used the engine's hand pump to push out any remaining air, and that was it.

Good filter

I've now driven about 40 hours with the filter. Because the keel tank in my boat is difficult to clean, a good pre-filter that not only removes water but also dirt was important to me. So far, I'm very satisfied with the filter. However, given the price, I think the connection adapters could be included or pre-selected.

Tip: I had my connections pressed with the appropriate lines at Hansaflex; it was cheaper than the connections offered here and more practical.
