I need to replace a VDO fresh water sensor ref 02 240 401 but I cannot find one on-line. The 02 240 402 looks identical but longer, can it shortened to 290mm and used to replace the 02 240 401 without other adjustments?

Hi Richard, The modelkey ..401 /...402 is OK. And you can it shorten within range you can see according to the manual you find here undr documents
