Admittedly, I didn't check closely enough to realize it wasn't the original Yanmar pump. My mistake. The pump is an Italian replica. It fits and works. The downside is that the Yanmar impellers don't fit, and now I'm stuck with a second generation of spare parts. The usual high-quality O-ring that seals the impeller cover is replaced here with an antiquated cardboard gasket. When changing the impeller, you first have to clean the pump housing of the partially stuck, torn paper gasket to get a flat sealing surface again.

I'm annoyed with myself and the purchase, and I'm considering buying the original Yanmar pump again and putting it in my spare parts box.
