Product details

This engine room soundproof panelling is made of a soft foam based on polyether covered with aluminium-metallised PES film. The panelling is protected against dust, water and oil penetration and is easy to clean. A bitumen sheet is sandwiched between two layers of special foam, which provides optimal sound insulation. The self-adhesive insulating panel reflects heat radiation and is temperature resistant from -40°C to +100°C.

Soundproofing motorhome

5-star premium Concorde with 20mm of the cheapest foam insulation under the driver's cab. It was very loud and had little to do with premium. Now I've added insulation with SVB insulation and Dibond panels. A difference like night and day. Top quality, not exactly cheap, but quality costs money and is definitely worth it. If you buy cheap, you buy twice. My absolute top recommendation here. I can't quite understand the often-described processing of the bitumen panel. A sharp knife and a little pressure make it easy to work with and cut cleanly. Someone here has put some thought into developing a high-quality product.

Excellent insulation panel

I bought this to soundproof and protect the engine compartment of my excavator. They were quick to respond to my questions by email and phone. The adhesive really sticks; I used it partially because I had the panel retainer. However, you can feel the quality of the material. I would buy it again for other jobs. I'll test it soon with the engine running and evaluate everything else.

Special tools are required for cutting

I struggled with craft blades and then taped the cut edges with aluminum foil. It worked, but it wasn't elegant. I would have appreciated some processing advice.
