Product details

This engine room soundproof panelling is made of a soft foam based on polyether covered with aluminium-metallised PES film. The panelling is protected against dust, water and oil penetration and is easy to clean. A bitumen sheet is sandwiched between two layers of special foam, which provides optimal sound insulation. The self-adhesive insulating panel reflects heat radiation and is temperature resistant from -40°C to +100°C.

Insulating panel 32 mm: 25 mm foam / 2 mm bitumen / 5 mm foam, weight: 2 kg

Have engine room insulation boards 495 (12mm) delivered super fast. Also already processed. Worked well. However, I understand the term "trimmed" so that no open-pored cut surfaces are visible on the plates. That was not the case! With a craft knife, the material can be cut well. However, you should stop the blade more often to keep the tip sharp. Otherwise, the aluminum foil is very quickly offended with blunt tool and fringes uncontrolled ... The glue is at least during assembly very fast ... no move or so possible. Now I hope that he will maintain his reliability even in practice under harsh conditions (sun and water). I can not say in a month's time whether the whole project has really brought it all together. Then the boat comes first into the water and the engine can work again ... Price-performance ratio then I can really appreciate. It was not cheap. But if I do not perceive the engine then it is ok ...
