I already have 2 ST2000s (one in reserve), it works great with it. Product details

Since their development in 1973 by Autohelm, the ST1000 and ST2000 auto-pilots / tiller pilots have become the most popular in the world. They are the benchmark for performance, reliability and user-friendliness. State-of-the-art features and functions come as standard.

Built-in fluxgate compass, clearly arranged controls, safe from heeling up to 45°, alarm in case of course deviation, automatic yaw angle adjustment between 1.5° and 10°. The system is ready to be connected to a wind vane and hand remote control. Using the built-in NMEA 0180/0183 interface, the system can utilise data from navigators (and other manufacturers) and then automatically controls the entered sailing plan. The autopilot is equipped with an LC-display, which shows the currently controlled course in automatic mode, in "standby mode" the target course is shown. The autopilot is also SeaTalk compatible and can be connected to Raymarine's ST40/60 series without expansion.

Prone to failure with outboard motor
The device works very well and accurately, but it is susceptible to interference near our outboard motor, despite folding ferrites and capacitive blocking in the power supply. The compass display on the autopilot constantly jumps to different values when the motor is running. My old autopilot "Autohelm 800" has no problems with this, it just doesn't have an NMEA10183 connection for my plotter.

Good tiller pilot
The installation depends very much on the geometric conditions of the boat. If you try to adhere to all the specifications regarding distances and angles (which I would recommend), then the installation effort is not insignificant depending on the circumstances. You will be rewarded with a good product with very good control behavior. I find it a bit annoying that there is no electronic limitation of the two stops and that the tiller pilot, if you are not careful (usually when it is not "hooked in"), runs into the mechanical limits (which will certainly damage the drive in the long term).

Tiller Pilot for serious long distances
I have installed a Tiller pilot in the past on a telstar Trimaran and have just installed one on a corsair 24 Trimaran. Installation was simple when you learn to measure and extend it fully and retract it fully then set it to the middle extension before drilling holes to set it up. This was not mentioned in the operation Instructions! I have not had the opportunity to test it yet but am sure that it will be a great help on long passages just as in the past.

SVB like the ST 2000 cane pilot
With SVB I had very good results, I bought this pilot from the Canary Islands and today I received it, it took longer but there were problems with the carrier, which I will talk about later.
The communication with SVB while they were trying to resolve the misunderstanding was very fluid and they never took long to respond either by email or by phone.
The price of the product is very good, although you have to take into account taxes, procedures and shipping, of course. I already had another pilot like this so the installation didn't cost anything, in fact I plugged it in and it worked fine.
The problem was DHL, which here has a subcontract with DHL Parcel, and there was no good communication with them... perhaps it could be improved here... in short, happy with the purchase, but from the Canary Islands I will not buy again, here are very special people...

Hello, the ST2000+ is suppilied with the standard installation accessories. If you need other accessories like pushrod extension, tiller bracket and cantilever socket assy, you have to order them separatly.
