Small, Light and Easy to Use This motor is intended for relatively short range boat to shore work and it does that really well. For longer trips a larger motor is needed, but for its intended use it is excellent. I have used it on my 2.5m inflatable dinghy, which has a maximum hull speed of around 7kph. On smooth water in the harbour it pushed the dinghy along at around 5 to 6kph at 300 watts and on the speed setting. which is 750 watts at 7kph. The speeds were about the same outside the harbour on a relatively calm sea. The motor is very quiet, so all that you really hear when motoring along are the water noises. As I am use to petrol driven engines, this does give you the impression that you are not moving much, but the GPS said otherwise. As the engine is so light, it is really easy getting it from boat to dinghy and back. No straining or heaving at all. You can also stow it out of sight in a locker. It is very easy to carry. The controls are simple and the accompanying manual explains everything well. The twist the throttle the other way for reverse makes berthing easy. The motor also seems to be well built and robust. My only two gripes are that the safety cord is too short, and that it would be a good idea to put a marker on the twist grip to show it more clearly when you are at zero. I have already sorted those two minor gripes out. As you may gather, I am pleased with it. It will be my main ship to shore motor.

Perfect for short tours Perfect for a quick trip to the beach and back in moderate conditions. It probably won't be quite enough to handle more wind and waves. But it's quiet, easy to use and quiet. Extremely easy to transport. Perfect for me on the Croatian Adriatic.

Miss Elli is great The little motor was quickly given the name "Miss Elli", in reference to Elite. Runs cleanly and quietly, is easy to handle. We have Miss Elli attached to a line and lowered it from the cockpit of our Etap into the dinghy. Plug in, switch on, and drive off. Twice from the anchorage to land and back, once with a good headwind and waves, are very good. When connected, 75% of the charge is still there. Dock at the boat, lift up with Elli on the line, wipe dry once with a cloth, done. We are very happy with the motor and are now happy to part with the previous outboard motor (heavy, an inspection every year, loud and annoying).

Top alternative to the petrol outboard motor With this motor, our dinghy can reach speeds of 3.8 knots at the push of a button, without any loud noise or smell. The shape of the motor also gives a certain amount of rudder effect without thrust, but the biggest advantage is the weight - anyone can add 6 kg, even if the anchorage is a bit choppy.

The ePropulsion electric outboard "eLite" sets new standards in terms of performance, weight and versatility. With an output of 500W, you can make efficient headway on the water. It also features an impressively low weight and small size.

Low weight
With a total weight of just 7.7 kg including bracket (6.5 kg without), the ePropulsion electric outboard is extremely light and easy to operate. This not only makes it easier to transport, but also to attach and remove from the motor mount.

Removable motor
Because the motor can be easily removed from the motor mount, the ePropulsion is particularly practical, allowing for convenient storage, easy transport and minimum risk of damage during transport.

Adjustable motor shaft
With its four-stage adjustable shaft (401 mm, 362.5 mm, 322 mm and 282.5 mm), the ePropulsion eLite offers maximum flexibility for optimal use in all kinds of water conditions and boat types.

Ideal for dinghies

I'm absolutely thrilled with the Elite outboard motor. It's incredibly easy to handle, and its light weight means it can be quickly pulled out of the lazarette and attached to the dinghy. I thought twice about doing that with a gasoline engine. No more fumes or noise, and no need to carry an extra can of gasoline on board. The thrust is perfectly adequate for a dinghy, much more than you'd expect from such a small electric motor. The battery is more than enough for multiple trips ashore and back within the anchorage. Against the wind, two people can make good progress with 150W, and with the wind, even just 50W is sufficient. This means the battery lasts quite a while. I couldn't get much further with the 1.4L tank of our Tohatsu outboard. The little Elite is also very well-designed mechanically, for example, the tiller can be locked in 90-degree increments and is extendable.

Highly recommended! P.S. Order the 12V charger at the same time.

Dear Peter, the battery is permanently installed in the engine and can't be replaced. It is only possible to replace the entire shaft component.
