Looks great, ultra-lightweight, good handling
I don't have much experience with it yet, but I'll be using it next season.

My first impression is very positive: ultra-quiet and easy to handle. The outboard itself, without the battery, is super light, and the battery, at 6 kg, is no heavier than a jerrycan. I sold my old outboard; it was too heavy, too cumbersome, and there was always the risk of my passengers bruising their ribs when starting it ;-)

Therefore, a smaller dinghy is sufficient, and the capacity and power are certainly more than enough to get from the anchorage to the beach or into the fishing harbor.

The only downside is that the locking mechanism (for horizontal positioning) is a bit fiddly; you have to grab the notches and give it a little nudge....

Much more pleasant to use on the dinghy than the old two-stroke. But unfortunately, it's very expensive, which might make it very popular with thieves. And that's the problem: I haven't yet found a way to reliably protect myself from theft, especially since the battery and tiller can be easily removed without tools, even with the motor attached. With the old two-stroke, I had peace of mind when the dinghy was left unattended on the beach.

I think the charging options are brilliant:
- directly from the 12V electrical system (24V and everything in between also works)
- or directly from the solar panel without an additional charge controller
- or, if available, from 230V shore power (with a charger)

Top engine for our tender
We use the engine for our tender on a 38" sailing yacht. The engine meets all requirements. Handling and operation is easy, so that our 6 year old son has everything under control. We can only recommend the model

Why so fast?
I bought the electric outboard motor in winter and probably won't be able to test it until late spring...
