Unique, newly developed vertical windlass. The above deck unit is made completely of bronze chromed and stainless steel . The 8 mm gipsy is usable for chain and rope (diameter 14 mm).
A new development is also the drive. The engine reaches a continuous power of 1000 Watt / 12 V and is able to deliver a short term power of up to 1500 Watts. This results in a maximum pull of up to 500 kg (workload 150 kg). As an additional feature the engine is equipped with two separate windings – this results in an extremely fast downward operation of 40 m/min and a winding speed of 20-40 m/min.
Furthermore, the relay box for up and down operation is included, as well as the sensors for an optional chain counter.
Does anyone know if the hole template of this model (Lafrans X2 1000W 10mm ISO) through the deck is the same as the Lewmar v3? I am looking for a cheaper replacement as Lewmar is really expensive.
Dear Lucio, kindly note that Lofrans X2 cannot be considered a direct replacement, as the main deck hole for Lewmar is 75 mm, while for X2 it is 60 mm. However, based on the specifications and deck thickness, the X2 is the most suitable model for replacing the Lewmar V3. Your SVB-Team.
Hi, is there posibility to connect a chain counter to this model ?

Is the Quick up/down remote I have compatible with the Lofrans windlass, or do I need to purchase a new remote?
Dear customer, please email [email protected] so we can check which model you have.
Could you please advise if the hole template through the deck is the same as the Quick High Performance Windlass (12v 1000w Antares model)?
Dear customer, it will be custom for this particular model.
We are building a 30ft power boat and would like a second opinion about which model windlass we need. The two types we are thinking are both vertically mounted Lofran winches but not sure if we need a x2 or we can get away with using the smaller x1? W would also like to purchase the correct chain / rope anchor rode which ever winch is required. We are currently in the process of mocking up the system as its in a tight anchor locker space and is going to require some anchor sheaves for re directing the rode where its needed. any advice on a good set up for this project would be really appreciated. thanks
