Would you like to complete the training for your recreational boating licence in one go and take the exam straight afterwards? Then this intensive course is just right for you.
The recreational boating licence is the first requirement for sailing recreational boats and jet skis with a motorisation of more than 15 hp (11.03 kW) on all German maritime waterways within the maritime shipping regulations.
The intensive course offers concentrated theoretical content as well as daily practical driving lessons. You will not only practise mooring and casting off in the canal, but also apply the theoretical knowledge you have acquired directly in practice. The course lasts 6 days, with 4 hours of theory and 4-5 hours of practical training on board each day. On the 7th day, you will have the opportunity to take the examination on site in front of examiners from the DSV (German Sailing Association) and the PA Rhein/Ruhr.
In this combined intensive training course, particular emphasis is placed on acquiring the practical skills required to safely steer a boat. This also includes lock, anchor and harbour manoeuvres, navigating at night and the use of electronic navigation aids.
