This charger really manages my boat battery bank much better. Victron Very easy installation (einfach) and super-easy (immediate) connection by bluetooth to my iPhone. Up and running project of less than 30 min. This charger really manages my battery bank in a very different and apparently more considerate of the batteries overcharging way, than the previous older Xantrex. Highly efficient charger with an efficiency of up to 93% and very low power consumption when the battery is fully charged.
Thanks to the multi-stage charging algorithm, the battery is always supplied with exactly the right amount of energy that is needed. In addition, lithium-ion batteries are charged using a special algorithm.

Long-life, safe and quiet
Output current is reduced if the temperature rises above 60 °C, but the charger will not fail. You can also switch the charger to NIGHT or LOW mode. The maximum output current is reduced to 50% of the nominal value and the fan is switched off.

Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
The BlueSmart charger has a charging output that attempts to recharge even deeply discharged batteries. To do this, the charger will attempt to recharge a fully discharged battery with low current and resume normal charging once sufficient voltage has developed across the battery terminals.

Temperature compensated charging
The optimal charge voltage of a lead-acid battery varies inversely with temperature. The charger measures ambient temperature during the test phase and compensates for temperature during the charge process. Special settings are not needed.

Storage mode
Even the lower float charge voltage that follows the absorption period will cause grid corrosion. It is therefore essential to reduce the charge voltage even further when the battery remains connected to the charger for more than 48 hours.

Integrated Bluetooth
With its integrated Bluetooth you can monitor the status of the charger and batteries with a smartphone or tablet. The charger can be configured and updated using the VictronConnect app.

Should I use pin terminal for this charger? My old cable has a ring terminal(Φ6). I can't believe the brand new charger(mastervolt plus) broke down in less than three years.

I have installed a Quick charger 30A in my sailing Yacht Bavaria 46 Cruiser and is charging 3 batteries X 145A(consuming)and one battery X 75A for the motor engine(starter). Which charger will be suitable for my needs? Thanks and regards, Dimitris

Dear Customer, For deep-cycle marine batteries, charging current should be around 10–20% of total Ah capacity. So in your case, your charger might be a bit too low. To ensure efficient charging, particularly if you often anchor or sail without shore power, a charger with at least 60A–80A output would be much more suitable.
