Product details

Anti barnacle grease with corrosion protection. Prevents barnacles and marine growth on propellers, shafts, Z-drives, transducers, seacocks, and hulls. Contents: 500 ml.

Processing instructions
Before launching, spread YACHTICON ANTI-POCKEN-FETT evenly over the surface, preferably with a spatula or plastic brush. By the end of the season, the light film of algae that builds up over the course of the year can be easily removed with a high-pressure cleaner.

Propeller was full of smallpox in the middle of the season and the boat was unused for 2-3 weeks. Not sufficient when there is strong vegetation pressure and there is little movement at times.

Not suggested for use on propellers in sandy waters, in particular during or after rough weather.
Sail area Eastmed, Black Sea, Marmara. Bought while ago a jar of this grease, applied with a paint brush over the clean blades and hub of the propeller and found completely removed after rather short use of the propeller at 2600 RPM-. The coat on propeller was like sandblasted and later on the barnacles appeared building on. Could only conclude that the grease coat disappeared due to high friction with sandy waters. Purchased now a spray of similar grease to apply on seacocks and the small piece of visible rudder stock, where less friction supposed, hoping in better effect..

little effect

The grease was applied to the propeller and log in the spring. After one season in the Baltic these were heavily infested with smallpox.

Anti Barnacle Grease Spray

not very effective

Application of this product in May 2021. Boat in the water since May. July and August 2021 observation of algae stuck to the propeller and its support. Ineffective product.

can you use this Grease for feathering propeller like max prop?

Dear Shosel, we don´t know what you are meaning with "feathering"? Do you mean grease, like: "grease a wave"? No thats not possible. This grease is to prevents barnacles and marine growth on propellers and tohers. Otherwise, please take this one: -#16740#-. Yours SVB-team.
