Based on cutting-edge silicone polymer technology, International's B-FREE EXPLORE totally biocide-free fouling prevention is not only incredibly effective but also has outstanding environmental benefits. The ultra-smooth, semi-glossy surface makes it extremely hard for fouling to occur. The smooth surface also gives your boat more power and greater efficiency. Any growth or dirt that settles on your hull can be easily removed with a simple wipe off or pressure wash. The paint has a low solvent content (VOC) and can be used for up to two years. Ideal for inshore waters, rivers and lakes as well as freshwater areas with light fouling conditions.
Processing instructions
Technical specifications:
Suitable for hulls made of aluminium, GRP, lead, cast iron, wood and steel. EXPLORE can be painted over any antifouling when used with CONVERSION COAT and TIECOAT. EXPLORE is suitable for all speeds.
Application:
To ensure optimal adhesion and protection against growth, the surface of your boat must first be cleaned, degreased and, if necessary, a touch-up layer of TIECOAT applied if it is in good condition. EXPLORE can then be applied. If the surface is in poor condition, the surface must be cleaned and sanded completely. Then apply one coat each of CONVERSION COAT Primer and TIECOAT undercoat before applying two to three coats of EXPLORE.
Note!
Biocide-free antifouling is a green alternative to chemical antifouling. Unlike biocide-containing antifoulings, biocide-free antifouling does not kill marine organisms such as algae and mussels, but makes it more difficult for growth to adhere. Regular cleaning of the hull is necessary to ensure that biocide-free antifoulings can effectively prevent fouling to take hold. The use of biocide-free antifoulings is advisable in waters with low or medium fouling levels, for example in freshwater or cooler waters.

- Drying time at 10 °C: 7 hours
- Pot life at 10°C: 4 hours
- Immersion after 25 h @ 25 °C
