Would DYNA ONE be the right choice for replacing the guard rails on my 30 foot yacht? If so which size should I be looking at?
Dear Patrick, if you mean "the railing", here is typical of a wire. Like our: -#27269#- or -#11416#-. For further help, please contact us directly by email. Yours SVB team.
Hi SVB Collegues, I have a Dynamic 35 sailboat and would like to change backstage wire ropes to dynema ropes. What size should I choose? https://data.orc.org/public/od/2020/Dynamic35.od.pdf Thank you for your help!
Dear customer, please email [email protected] for an offer in this case.
Is this dyneema rope "heat set" or not? Exactly. Makes a difference!
I don’t think its heat set rope. It’s very soft but very strong.
Good day SVB, Please kindly advise if you can splice and make loops on each side of this dyneema. This will go into a backstay and needs both sides loops. Will you supply to Dubai, UAE?? thanks in advance.
It is easy to eye-splice or form loops, soft shackles, etc. There are some good videos on Youtube explaining how to make them strong. Amongst other things I have used eye splices on both ends to form a powerful kicker/vang. The only consideration for a backstay would be the choice of blocks or low friction eyes. As dyneema had less stretch/bounce than polyester any continous pumping of the mast might put heat in to the the rope on the turning surfaces. Dyneema doesn’t like heat.
On top of YouTube SVB has a splicing manual and equipment available.
Hi i need the right rope for my Solent stay. Is this the right and will it Hold Propperly my mast winch and clutch? I’ll use bronze hank on jib
Dear Jesper, many thanks for your question about an inner Forestay (Solent stay). DynaOne HS MAX (the zero creep variation) will be an option, but this rope will not work in clutches. In clutches, you need a cover for grip. In that case, we would recommend MegaTwin Vectran as inner forestay.
Thanks.. I would like the dynaone hs max, but can’t find it? And the mega twin Vectran, is it the Gleistein mega twin Dyneema?
