Good on-board battery In use as a consumer battery on an 8.20 meter sailing boat. Since then, power problems are a thing of the past. Despite the cool box, various electronic devices that are charged from it and night trips, I can get by for 4 days without shore power. The starter (lead battery) and on-board battery are each charged with shore power by separate Victron chargers. When underway, the consumer battery is temporarily charged by a 90 watt solar cell. If necessary, via a 500 watt inverter with the diesel engine on the charger with reduced power 15A instead of 30A, which has not been necessary so far. A Victron battery computer is installed for monitoring.

battery I can't yet give an assessment of the lifespan and quality, as I only installed the battery in August. The weight is easy to handle. I haven't found anything comparable online at a cheaper price.

Batterie Spezifikationen

This powerful marine lithium battery (LiFePO4) from ECO WORTHY features a capacity of 100 Ah and is ideal for use on boats and in motorhomes, on campsites, in off-grid wind or solar systems, as an emergency power supply and in other energy-intensive applications. Thanks to its mechanical and circuit design, it can be used as a spare or drop-in battery, provided the existing charging system on board is suitable for the requirements of lithium batteries.

The marine lithium battery is equipped with an integrated, innovative battery management system (BMS), which effectively protects the battery against overvoltage, short circuits, overloading due to excessive charging or discharging currents, excessive temperatures and undervoltage. To protect the cells, the BMS automatically interrupts the charging process if the charging temperature drops below 0 °C. Once the temperature rises above 0 °C the charging process continues.

Maximum discharge depth, unbeatable long life

As well as weighing just 11.0 kg, these lithium batteries boast a remarkable 3000 charge/discharge cycles with a depth of discharge of up to 80 %. With proper use, a service life of up to 10 years can be expected, which is three times that of a conventional lead-acid battery.

Capacity expansion

Up to four batteries can be connected in parallel if a larger battery capacity is required. It is also possible to connect up to four of these batteries in series so that they can also be used in 24 V (2 units), 36 V (3 units) or 48 V (4 units) applications. Note: For the safe use of LiFePO₄ batteries, a suitable main fuse (e.g. ANL or MEGA fuse) should be installed directly on the positive terminal or in its immediate vicinity (max. 20 cm distance).

Excellent customer service support for the SVB Marine lithium battery LiFePO4 12V 280Ah
The battery arrived clean and quickly (at least until customs clearance) and fully meets the promises.

Unfortunately, the customs agency used had massive IT problems with their (apparently new) electronic customs clearance system! And we "got" to experience this firsthand!!

Thanks to the excellent help from SVB customer service and numerous emails and phone calls, the situation was finally resolved satisfactorily with the customs agent after an intense week of back and forth.

The battery is absolutely top-notch, and I can recommend it 100%.
