After clarification .... No problem with the installation. For the new Viewline hour counters PIN 5 is the connection that must be connected to terminal W. In addition, ground must be connected to PIN 3. Time representations and other gimmicks is only possible with Dauerplus, but who needs that .... Important are the hours, and the functioning flawlessly. Good part, replacement for Volvo Orginalinsturment with small cabling work; the time will tell....

Tachometer with operating hour log on the LCD display. 12/24 Volt. Measurement range: up to 4000 rpm. Clamp W connection (alternator) = connection pin 5. Installation diameter: 85 mm, installation depth: 60 mm, flange diameter 95 mm.

Note for wiring: alternator clamp "W" on port 5: "sensor signal" and MINUS on port 3: "signal ground".

After the first attempt was very bad - the tachometer seems to be running (held only one season, then total failure). The second device works. However, the display is under load in the meantime totally restless, goes almost to the stop, then back to 0. Is the machine running at the feeder, everything is normal ??? Will let the alternator check, could be due to the signal generator. I got the device only at the end of the season and could not fully test it.
