Good day SVB, Please kindly advise if you can splice and make loops on each side of this dyneema. This will go into a backstay and needs both sides loops. Will you supply to Dubai, UAE?? thanks in advance.
It is easy to eye-splice or form loops, soft shackles, etc. There are some good videos on Youtube explaining how to make them strong. Amongst other things I have used eye splices on both ends to form a powerful kicker/vang. The only consideration for a backstay would be the choice of blocks or low friction eyes. As dyneema had less stretch/bounce than polyester any continous pumping of the mast might put heat in to the the rope on the turning surfaces. Dyneema doesn’t like heat.
On top of YouTube SVB has a splicing manual and equipment available.
