The new NGX-1 generation from Actisense combines the power of the two previous generation products (NGT-1 and NGW-1) into one and acts as a gateway to convert NMEA 0183 into NMEA 2000 data and vice-versa.

The Actisense NGX-1 USB allows you to share data bi-directionally between a PC and an NMEA 2000 network. The NGX-1 converts NMEA 0183 data to NMEA 2000 (and vice versa), allowing you to share information between devices from the two standards.

The USB version is fully isolated to prevent dangerous ground loops. Supports Fast Heading at 10Hz.

We ordered the product online and received it within 24 hours. SVB couldn't have delivered faster – that was top-notch.

BUT

Getting the device working wasted 20 hours of pointless trial and error, tinkering, and countless hours of research that we had to do ourselves to get the thing working.

We DIDN'T GET IT TO WORK!

The SVB technical service team was incredibly disappointing and a bitter disappointment!

We contacted them with high hopes, only to be met with the disheartening response from service: "Unfortunately, we have absolutely no expertise in this area!" SVB, please document on the product page that customers are on their own with these parts and have to figure it out themselves, as SVB lacks the necessary expertise! That would be fair and transparent and should be included in the product description – otherwise, we would never have ordered the item from SVB!

This time, ordering from SVB and receiving the product was a complete disaster!
