Description
The VOLVO PENTA 2003 is a tried-and-tested 3-cylinder inboard diesel engine from the 2001/2002/2003 series. The engine delivers around 28 PS at a rated speed of approximately 2,800 rpm and is designed for durability rather than peak performance. Power is transmitted via a mechanical reverse gearbox from the MS2 series; the engine is cooled via a seawater cooling system with an impeller pump. Compared to the VOLVO PENTA 2002, the 2003 offers an additional cylinder and correspondingly more power, whilst featuring a very similar design and identical maintenance principles. The VOLVO PENTA 2003 is ideal for you if you wish to power a medium-sized motorboat or sailing yacht with a robust, classic engine for which spare parts are readily available.
