Perfect! I converted from an NMEA 0183 system to NMEA 2000. Yacht Devices was the perfect complement. Connect right of the box, transmission is strong and you can unify to your main Wi-Fi platform if you want. In place now for more than 3 months running full time it's a dream. I highly recommend it.

Installation & start-up
The gateway is connected directly to the NMEA2000 backbone - an additional drop cable is not required. The BUS power supply must be switched off before installation. After connection, the device is automatically supplied with power and signals readiness for operation via LED. For the initial configuration, the gateway is addressed via its own WLAN network (SSID: YDWG, password: 12345678). Connection and settings are conveniently made via a web browser on the smartphone or PC.

problem solver

I needed a solution to integrate my Raymarine 650 AIS transponder into the Navionics app and to be able to display navigation data such as plummet and wind mobile below deck, as I only have one plotter in the cockpit. I am a beginner with no prior knowledge. Simply plug it into a free slot on the NMEA 2000 backbone, connect the phone to WiFi, connect and off you go. Super easy. Problem solved.

Dear Antonio! Please specify exact Garmin equipment you are talking about. A lot of Garmin equipment has single-wire RS232-based TTL-level NMEA0183 interface. YDNG-03 can be connected to such interface, but wiring is slightly different than usual RS422-based NMEA0183 interface ver 2.0 and newer.
